Living Faith Church is about reaching all people. When it comes to young people, we recognize that it is our responsibility is to disciple and train them in the way that is right - not just to set them up for career success.
The statistics are quite staggering! It is estimated that over 70% of students that graduate high school walk away from their faith within two years. This doesn’t just apply to those that go to college but also those that would stay in their city. The main issues that we identify when it comes to young people is a lack of character development because of a lack of personal discipleship as well as a lack of a Biblical worldview.
This summer we have created a new opportunity for students called PRIME with the purpose to "prime" and grow a student in their faith, to put a right foundation in their life and to set them up for success in their faith post high school.
Prime is a 4-week summer internship program running from July 8th to July 25th on Mondays and Thursdays 9 am – 12 pm. It is for any high school student with the goal of both equipping and teaching. We will also provide serving opportunities to help a student grow in their faith. The classes are taught by Portland Bible College professors and Mannahouse Youth pastors, and cover three areas:
· Worldviews - they are confronted with and what the Bible says about them
· Right Doctrine and Beliefs – they are exposed to what the Bible says is true
· Character Development – they are challenged to grow and be more like Jesus.

Every summer a high school student completes PRIME they will get a transferable college credit from Portland Bible College. If you are a parent of a High School student prayerfully consider if this would be a great option for your student. Check out the table in the lobby or talk to our youth pastor to register your student.
